Warehouse Insurance

Did you know that there is no state or federal regulation specifying warehouse liability limits?

Just as carriers significantly limit their liability for cargo loss or damage, so too do warehouses. However, unlike carriers, there is no state or federal regulations that require any specific warehouse liability limits. Some warehouses limit their liability to just $50.00 for an entire shipment while most limit liability to $0.50 per pound, but keep in mind you must first prove they were negligent to collect. Want proof? Read the warehouse’s terms and conditions. Many shippers chose not to roll the dice and insure their goods in storage on an All-Risk basis.

WSSA offers All-Risk warehouse insurance coverage at very competitive rates. We will cover approved goods in storage at specified domestic or foreign locations against all risks of physical loss or damage from external causes except as otherwise excluded.
