provides order coordination and logistics services, to
manage the shipment of your orders, from the time the
order is placed to the final delivery to your warehouse.
In short, we can be your import logistics department!
Our
Operations Department handles incoming orders for the
members and coordinates these with our network of overseas
forwarder agents and carriers throughout the world.
The Operations staff has many years of experience in international
shipping activities and is in contact with many of our
members on a daily basis to make sure that orders are
handled properly from start of the shipment
process to final delivery location.
The
best service is offered through our Operations staff to
make sure that we handle your orders in the most efficient
and economical way.
WSSA offers ocean freight
rates for both IMPORT and EXPORT to all US Coasts (Atlantic,
Gulf and Pacific) and via Canadian ports for the following
commodities:
- Beer
- Beverages
- Cider
- Duty
Free Merchandise (various)
- Foodstuffs
(confectionary, tea, biscuits, fruit preserves, etc.)
- Fruit
Juice
- Irish
Cream Liqueurs
- Liqueurs
- Mineral

Please

of the above descriptions.
WSSA
can coordinate the pick-up and consolidation of (smaller)
orders from various suppliers into one container.
If
you:
- need
(prompt) shipments of small orders,
- need
orders in a hurry,
- want
to avoid the hassle of
coordinating
your suppliers yourself,
then
WSSA forwarding agents and warehouses have the capabilities
to receive orders and consolidate them into a single shipment,
costing far less than buying from US stock or shipping
by other means.
Other
programs are available: the "Italian Lite"
program provides a simple and economical way to get "LESS
THAN CONTAINER LOAD" (LCL) orders to you at a set
price per case that includes collection of the goods to
deconsolidation at a US warehouse location. LCL
programs are available from selected countries.

While
risks of international transportation can't be avoided,
you can recover any losses through properly constructed
marine insurance coverage.
As
another benefit to the member, WSSA provides
comprehensive all risk marine cargo insurance at very
competitive rates. The coverage is from warehouse-to-warehouse
for virtually all risks of ocean or air transportation.
"CIF"
shipments can be covered as well for supplemental coverage
that might be incomplete or cease on arrival at the port
of destination.

WSSA
includes contract rates for EXPORTS in its contracts.
Many exporters benefit from rate savings for exports
of California wines to Europe.
