Forest Fire in France

Posted 07/27/2015

A forest fire in France that began Friday afternoon is still raging today as crews work to contain what is said to be one of the country’s worst fires in the past five years. Strong winds have helped to perpetuate the blaze which, up to this point, has consumed 1,360 acres of forest on the edges of Bordeaux.

Because of the nature of the wind, the fire has been unpredictable, and it could take several more days before crews can get it fully under control.

Thus far the fire has not caused any shipping impediments or delays and all operations are scheduled to proceed as normal. We will continue to monitor this situation, and will advise should any delays seem probable.
