Hurricane Florence - Port Update

As Hurricane Florence makes its way toward the US East Coast this week, states along the hurricane's path are preparing for its impact. Hurricane Florence – now a category 4 storm – is projected to be one of the worst storms in the past 30 years. With 130mph winds and dangerous storm surges expected, the Carolina states and Virginia are undergoing mandatory evacuations for residents. Ports along the East Coast are following suit by preparing for the hurricane's hit. Please see below for the latest on port closures and updates:

Baltimore: Port Condition Whiskey announced, but normal operations shall continue until conditions worsen.

Norfolk: No vessel operations on Wednesday, 9/12. Truck gates are also closed Wednesday 9/12 until further notice.

Charleston: Closely monitoring the hurricane and observing normal operating hours until conditions deteriorate.

Wilmington & Morehead City: Closed Thursday 9/13 & Friday 9/14 due to the hurricane. Re-opening information to be announced.
