Trade Union strikes Continue in France

Posted 08/16/2016

Trade union strikes continue in France, with potential for delays and closures increasing. A national strike has been announced for this Thursday, May 26th, which may completely close all terminals, and specifically, the terminals in Le Havre and Fos sur Mer.

Upcoming risks should also be taken into consideration such as no fuel for cars and trucks and the chance that employees and drivers may be stuck without access to warehouses to deliver cargo.

Already some vessels have cancelled their calls to Le Havre and Fos sur Mer.

We are working hard to alleviate any potential delays and to keep our members’ cargo moving. We will keep you abreast of the situation. As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
