US Customs Offers Duty Payment Extensions

CBP (US Customs) just published a notice that they will accept requests for duty payment extensions.  Please see below notice with instructions on how to request an extension.  More details are expected to be published soon but we wanted to circulate for immediate potential relief.   Should you request and receive the extension, please make sure to notify your customs broker.

CBP Accepting Requests for Duty-Payment Extensions

Due to the effect COVID-19 is having on the Trade industry, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is accepting requests for duty-payment extensions. CBP expects to issue a Federal Register notice in the immediate future with details on a longer-term, broader extension policy.
