Just several minutes ago, the House of Representatives voted to extend the federal excise tax relief as brought about by the CBMA. The vote outcome was 297 to 120 in favor of extension through December 31, 2020. Next the bill will proceed to the Senate for review and approval.

Last night lawmakers announced a tax plan which includes a one year extension of the CBMA. The CBMA was set to expire at the end of 2019 but will now be part of a larger deal to keep the government open through 2020.
