Tariff Review: President Trump signed an executive order this week extending the current tariff pause with China for 90 days, moving the deadline to November 10, 2025. China’s Commerce Ministry announced a matching move, maintaining its suspension of additional tariffs on US goods. The extension preserves current tariff levels, preventing a rapid escalation of the trade dispute. Both nations have committed to continuing negotiations on trade reciprocity, intellectual property rights, subsidies, and security concerns.
As a reminder, new US tariff rates took effect on August 7 for several countries. We have highlighted some of he key beverage alcohol producing areas below and please contact us should you want a complete list of current IEEPA tariff levels.
- 10% – UK, Chile, Argentina, Australia
- 15% – EU, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan
- 30% – South Africa
- 50% – Brazil
- 25% – Moldova, India
- 19% – Thailand
- 18% – Nicaragua
For India, an additional 25% tariff could take effect on August 27 over its purchase of Russian crude oil and other disputes.

MSC Schedule Updates: As a reminder, MSC has issued a revised transatlantic schedule update from both the Med and East Med ports and North Europe. The previous schedule update published indicated that Boston would be dropped as a direct port call from Fos-sur-mer, Barcelona and Sines.
