New Zealand's South Island was hit by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake just after midnight Sunday. The earthquake left some ports and rail systems damaged, forcing logistics slowdowns until structural checks are completed and damages repaired.

Chile's SAG Calls for National Strike We received word today from our Chilean offices that Customs and the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) have called for a national strike beginning today, 10/26, and lasting through Friday, 10/28.

The resulting work stoppage from the strike could affect normal port operations and cause potential delays.
