Last Friday the Maritime Employers Association (MEA) received word from the Longshoremen's Union that they will be conducting an indefinite strike beginning today, August 10th at 7am.

Strikes at the Port of Montreal continue this week even though the original duration of the strike was intended to last only until July 31st.

Our offices in South Africa have passed along positive news regarding operations at the Port of Cape Town. Following intense efforts of improvement, the operations of the port have significantly normalized despite the challenges faced by the Covid-19 pandemic. This normalization of operations has resulted in increased cargo movement as well as drastically reducing delays.


The Maritime Employers Association received a strike notice regarding terminals at the Port of Montreal. The strike will commence Monday, July 27 at 7:00 a.m.
