US Customs/CBP published another detailed message (CSMS #18-000609) earlier this week outlining in detail the documentation requirements and filing instructions to complete claims for tax credits due under the CBMA Tax Reform Bill. A new PierPass flat fee will be implemented at the ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach in November unless the Federal Maritime Commission steps in and takes action to stop it.

Mandatory Biennial Registration Renewal for Food Facilities is now required between October 1, 2018, until December 31, 2018. If your facility is not re-registered with the FDA by December 31, 2018, the FDA will cancel your Bioterrorism Act registration, and your importations will be delayed. A FDA registration number is mandatory to import food products into the United States.
