Italy Port Strike Friday 10/30 + Le Havre Terminal Update

Posted on: October 26, 2026

Italy Port Terminal Strike Planned for Friday, October 30

Port terminal workers in Italy have called a strike for this Friday, October 30, by several trade unions. The strike date appears to be confirmed, and we are expecting the main Italian ports to be closed that day. Shipments moving through Italian ports around this date should expect possible delays, so please plan ahead where you can. Our Italy team will advise on any affected shipments, and we will share updates as they become available.

Le Havre: Terminal Operations Resuming After IT Disruption

Operations at the Terminaux de Normandie in Le Havre are progressively returning to normal following the IT disruption that began October 13. Per MSC’s latest update, import container pick-ups resumed on October 20 at 2:00 PM and export container deliveries resumed on October 21. Full export containers are currently accepted only for vessels scheduled to depart within the next five days. The terminal’s appointment booking system was still unavailable as of October 21, so drivers have been instructed to proceed directly to the terminal.
