correctLOGObanner_340370.jpg Section 301 Forced Labor Tariffs Take Effect July 24USTR published its final action on July 23, 2026, imposing Section 301 tariffs on 60 trading partners. CBP confirmed implementation the same day in CSMS #69326983.

Per the Federal Register notice, the additional duties apply to products “entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. eastern time on July 24, 2026,” with a narrow exception for goods already loaded and in transit before that time, which have until 12:01 a.m. ET on July 28 to enter without the added duty.

A few of the countries and rates:
– Argentina: 10 percent
– European Union: 10 percent net of MFN duty
– Japan, Korea, Switzerland: 12.5 percent net of MFN duty
– Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa: 12.5 percent

This list reflects a subset of the 60 covered economies. A complete country by country breakdown, along with applicable product exemptions, will follow in a subsequent update once fully confirmed.
