The Mendoza-Chile border crossing remains closed due to adverse weather in the high mountain area, and the latest forecast indicates it will stay closed throughout next week. As a result, with around 1,500 trucks currently waiting to cross, we now expect pending cargo in Argentina to load only on vessels with an ETD in week 33, subject to the border reopening and inland transportation normalizing. Chilean ports continue to operate normally for now, but adverse weather forecast for the coming days means normal port operations in the central region cannot be guaranteed if conditions deteriorate. We’ll continue monitoring closely and will keep you informed of any significant developments. For information about rerouting cargo, please reach out to us for assistance on options available.
